Cricket marriage made in Hell

I just can't see this potential marriage working.

Nobody doubts Warne's genius, but I doubt that he could work with Duncan Fletcher and I doubt that the stuffed shirts at the ECB could sleep at night worrying about tomorrows headline in the Sun.

The Spine has his unique take on the story.

I would have thought Australia would want to keep him. I see your point, but with Shane being in England for the next two years, there will be bowlers who are going to benefit from his experience.

What I like is that he is willing to help out anywhere. Too many former players go in to the commentary box.

If the stuffed shirts can sleep through losing Troy Cooley, selecting Ashley Giles over Monty, making Flintoff captain, making Vaughan 1-day captain, the constant merry-go-round between Jones and Read, failing to give Harmison the games he needs for his rhythm and all their other cock-ups I suspect they must be able to sleep through anything. Not that I'm bitter about the Ashes, you understand.

Shane seems like a very generous person and I think that the involvement of former greats in other countries cricket teams is essential for the overall development of the game. I hope he does get involved. His job should be the Spin, Spine and Sledging Development Coach.

What can I say. I have had to endure an office full of rampant Aussies for the last two months. I was constantly reminded of some of these failings.
